Announcing the 4th Travel BlogCamp in London

tbcamp-1

In 2008 the Travel BlogCamp was born, bringing bloggers and the UK travel industry together for the first time – and it was a huge success, in 2009 and 2010 the size of the event increased and so did its popularity. You might be glad to hear that we are back again in 2011. Continuing to support and moderate the evening is Kevin May of Tnooz.

For those that don’t know – what is the Travel BlogCamp?

Back home with views of the Thames

We missed our home on the Southbank and so did many of you who completed our survey last year. So we are returning home to Doggetts Coat and Badge. We’ll have use of the rooftop bar, which has a terrace area with outdoor heating and fantastic views of the city. The main event will be in the larger bar downstairs. This year I have reduced the amount of places available to only 115 people, keeping it exclusive and informal.

The bar is only 5-10 minutes walk from Southwalk tube station which connects to the DLR at Canning Town, so, it’ll not take people long to transfer from Excel for the World Travel Market or central London.

Tickets for Travel BlogCamp 2011

I expect tickets to go very quickly. Tickets will be made available in September. Thanks to Tour CMS for administrating the ticketing. Those of you who are unsuccessful will be put on to a waiting list. The format will be kept secret until the night..

Add the date into your diary

So, add Tuesday 8 November 2011 from 6pm into your diary for five hours of networking, debate and discussion on blogging and social media. Sign up for updates in the form on the sidebar (if you didn’t last year) and I’ll email you with more information as soon as possible.

    • Yes Guido, it was changed 7 months ago. No one was using it, it became too time consuming moderating spam, and they are many communities for bloggers out there – don’t need another one. So this is just a blog to promote the event (not that it needs promoting much) and to share my experiences blogging.

    • Hi James,

This year, because of the numbers, we are going to release ticket places in various stages, so that everyone gets an opporunity to get a place. I am expecting them to go very quickly, but I am keen to keep the event exclusive and informal – it isn’t about the numbers of people that come, but the discussion and what people get out of it.
